Good day beloved in Christ. I hope you have a few minute? On the 25-11-2023, we discussed Matthew 8:26, where we noted that in times of trouble a believer calling God for help is faith, however Jesus let us understand that it is little faith. We could do better by acting faith against the situation. Jesus also related the little faith with been fearful. Jesus exposed their fear, before rebuking the very winds and the sea of the tempest which were causing much chaos on the boat they were on board. For having made such a remark before following up with such an amazing act of faith, Jesus had not only revealed His true divine nature to us all, but had also revealed the greater works (John 14:12) He intends for us all to do if only we had faith the size of a mustard seed (Luke 17:6, Matthew 17:19). Scripture tells us that as followers of Christ that we should strive always to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), which admittedly and more oftentimes than not, is much easier said than done. Just like the Apostles of old, when the going gets tough for us all and the tempest of the storms in our daily lives seems to be too much for our ships of confidence and assurance to handle, we cry out to the Lord in desperation, pleading to Him to save us from our sorry state of helplessness and hopelessness. But as many times as we cry out to the Lord in desperation, we for just as many a time forget of the Lord’s foreknowledge of our troubling circumstances and the solutions that He had pre-arranged in place to aid us in resolving them. Take for instance the ‘Parting of the Red Sea’ account from Exodus 14, whereby Moses and the Israelites were quite literally (to invoke the idiom) stuck between the devil or rather, Satan (that is, the adversary – in this case, the Egyptians) and the Deep Blue (or rather, Red) Sea. Many of the Israelites (unbeknownst to themselves) had unleashed their complaints unto the Lord through means of Moses; sarcastically bemoaning if he had simply and solely dragged them out of the land of Egypt (and out of the hands of their slave masters, of whom they were more than happy to be servile unto) just so that they could perish in the midst of the wilderness. But little did they know that the Lord was not only aware of all their whinging and whining, but that He had already set in motion the events that would soon transpire to ensure the safety and security of the Israelites, for He had already sent forth His angel before their encampment, unbeknownst to them. And all that was merely asked of them in return was to place their utmost trust and faith in Him to proceed forward in their path, but not before having their leader (who is Moses) lift up his rod, stretch his hand over the sea and divide it accordingly. Fellow children of God, we must always take utmost care to bear in mind the fact that the one sole thing that pleases the Lord our God the most in this entire universe is our unwavering and unyielding faith in Him; faith that He is God and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). For faith is the substance of things hoped for - the evidence of things not seen, and by it the elders of old (i.e. prophets, kings and apostles) obtained a good report (Hebrews 11:1-2). Good day beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, In our discussion on the 18-11-2023, we thoroughly examined our Lord’s simple command to shake the dust of our feet as we leave the city of those who do not receive us(Luke 9:5). We are commanded by God to provide the unrepentant among us a testimony or warning for refusing the word. For lo, they are an evil generation! - who desperately (and ironically) seek for signs but they will get the sign of Jonah the prophet (Luke 11:29). Yea, signs such as that of the prophet Jonah, who appeared and preached unto the Ninevites unto repentance, lest they face destruction and perish (Jonah 3:4). And they repented. Behold, for those very men of Nineveh shall rise up in judgment against this generation and condemn them because one greater than Jonah has come, and yet they hearkened not unto Him (Luke 11:32). Yea, for even the Queen of the South (that is, Sheba) shall rise up in the judgment during the last days against the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and yet when the very Word made flesh has come, many failed to hearken unto Him (Luke 11:32). But you may ask yourself, how can I repent? The answer to that question, dear brethren, is precisely to be spiritually-minded by hearing and doing the word of God as contained in the Holy Bible. It is hard to repent if we are carnally minded. Which means to yield to the demands of the flesh or body. This include but not limited to lust, homosexuality, abuse of food, substances and drinks. (1 Cor. 6:9-10, Lev 20:13) We noted that man is made up of the body soul and the spirit. The soul is the decision maker. The body and spirit provides information to the soul to enable decision making. If one leans so much on the body, the decisions he or she makes leads to death Because to be carnally minded is death. Beloved people of this wonderful world, on Saturday the 11th of November, 2023 we looked at an interesting verse. A day is coming when one needs to choose to obey man or to obey God. Read with the contemporary world in mind and see gratitude section at the end. Ok. 1 Samuel 22:17 was read and we see the continuing tale of David, the son of a shepherd who had slain the wicked and fearful Goliath who stood against the Children of God. Stricken with jealousy and fear of losing his kingdom to David, King Saul desired to kill David, forcing the latter to flew for his life. Eventually, King Saul got to know that David visited the Priests of the Lord (Ahimelech and his brethren) and commanded his footsoldiers to fall upon the Priests of the Lord accusing them falsefully, but the soldiers dared not because they understood the consequences. They would rather bear the wrath of the current government (king Saul) than go against the precepts of the Lord. Wow. They would not kill an innocent man. My dearest family and friends, 1 Samuel 22:17 serves as a biblical precedent of an exception to Saint Paul's command to have us be subject to governing authorities (Romans 13) which the evil one would pervert inorder to pursue their agenda. For though all authorities which exist have been ordained of and by God, if these political (and otherwise) bodies were to walk in accordance to evil ways and not the way of God (1 Samuel 8:7), then we children of the Most High must not only exercise the gift of discernment in thought alone, but also (and more imperatively) in action as well - that is, to refuse to do evil. Members of the armed forces must take note as well as all people working in government or not. We must focus on doing good and our governments will be happy with us. Therefore, brethren, as we continue to approach the latter days, we must take utmost care as to not heed the wiles of those who do the bidding of the evil one (regardless of their social status/standing and/or their power and influence/affluence), but to rather obey God above all, everyone and everything else in spite of all the adversities that may come our way (Acts 5:29). On the 04-11-2023 we discussed a very important verse. John 14:12 tells us of Jesus' assurance to us, children of God, doing works even greater than what Jesus did during His time on earth, if we believe in Him. There has been some misunderstanding with this verse, where some think those who think they are gods have blasphemed as they are thought to contradict the First Commandment: 'Ye shall have no other gods before Me' (Exodus 20:3). This is where the great and all too real deception of the devil lies at the heart of Christianity - that in viewing ourselves lesser than who we truly are as children of the Most High (gods), we walk on in darkness/ignorance (Psalm 82: 5-6), we in turn limit our potential/capability to do the great works Jesus had done. In limiting our potential, we have become like unto the Pharisees of old, attempting to stone Jesus on the charge of blasphemy; for Jesus being a man claiming Himself to be God (John 10:33) If God, who is All-Mighty and All-Powerful with none willing and daring enough to challenge Him has declared us to be 'gods' on numerous occasions (Psalm 82:6), who then are we to renounce our sonship with Him? (Romans 8:19) Even satan himself knows this truth, and had mixed it in along with his deceit in the form of a serpent when tempting Eve at the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:5) (you shall be like god...) So my brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers, aunties and uncles and cousins - let not the deceit of the devil rile you all up like the Pharisees of old and be quick to accuse and slander your fellow brethren of being blaspheming heretics, when in reality they have come to understand the Word of God and have received revelation at a far greater depth than you can ever possibly imagine. Know that while there is but only one Lord our God whom we should worship before us (Isaiah 44:6, 48:12 & Revelation 1:11), know also that as children of God made in His Image (Genesis 1:26) and whom had been called by Him to be glorified (Romans 8:30) by Him in both body and spirit (1 Corinthians 6:20) so as to be co-heirs alongside Him in His Heavenly Kingdom (Romans 8:17), we too are gods ourselves who are capable of doing greater works than Him in Whom we believeth most. However, the writer's original intent is faulty. I don't usually analyse this kind of message but I was really moved to. Firstly, the writer wants people to say that "we are in a period of frustrations, depressions, confusion, stress, Terror etc" this is how they make our people create the mindset of depression, confusion, stress, terror etc because this things are just the state of the mind and once one admit that, it becomes his/her environment. The person continues to confess this things even in street or closed conversation and thereby establishes these things. Once established, the door to hospital was opened in the speech because once you live in that environment, your BP is sure to rise, and the direction to the doctor has been established in the speech. So instead of helping one stay alive, the speech helps one to the hospital and we know that hospital visit is not free for the poor or the rich. The economic hardship become worst as the little money that would have been invested or used for feeding is spent on drugs which do not improve life or nutrition but relieves symptoms as BP do not have a known medical cure. Now our people are in a circle of misfortune through the instrumentality of a well structured speech that promise peace but leads to chaos. The writer have targeted to also destroy relationships among parents and their children, people and their friends, colleagues, superiors, subordinates, partners, husbands and wives. This was done by the line "please, move away from being provoked easily by your children, friends..." This line produces a consciousness of dissociation so that at any slightest provocation, one goes into dissociation mood. And this in turn can lead to stress, depression etc. As we all know that - so long one is on earth, provocation will come. But if we stick to Bible messages instead, we will learn that testing of our faith or provocation grows our patience, and God will not allow any provocation that is beyond us. With this statement, one understand that they are above trials, provocation and the strength to live above them. There are other things in the speech which I may not go through for now. But have you ever wondered why it seems like our lives are terrible even when we are far better than the people who engineer these devices to keep people down? Our people were made to create this toxic environment for themselves and so they think their friends, colleagues superiors subordinates partners husbands and wives are the problems to avoid yet they are not the problem. So now you see some family members who don't want to associate with each other for fear created by a crafted speech. My advice - if one is already in this cycle, start by renewing your mind by casting down imaginations that are contrary to what God have said in the holy book. Begin to love and genuinely care for people around you and their happiness, prosperity and peace becomes your happiness, prosperity and peace.
